A static Public IP allows members to access specific devices—such as a personal firewall, network printer, or server—from outside the isofy network.
Your primary ISP will provide a pool of static public IP addresses that can be shared with members.
When a device utilizes a Public IP, it is completely separate from the isofy network, therefore bypassing the MAC address registration and splash page.
For this setup to work, the member's device must be connected to a specific network port that has been configured for a Public IP. If the device connects to a regular port, it will still require MAC address authentication and will show the splash page.
To proceed with requesting a public IP, please create a ticket or email us at support@isofy.tech along with the information needed:
The member’s company name or network name
Their Salesforce ID
The port number they will be using
Once we have this information, we can proceed with your request.
